For now, there is not a lot to say about Baldur’s Gate 3. What we do know, however, is that the game will be set on the fictional Sword Coast and its plot will take players to various other planes or the so-called Underdark. Within Baldur’s Gate 3, the Illithid are the bad guys, and the Githyanky are also involved. The game will be based on the Fifth Edition ruleset of D&D, and they will be interpreted by Larian. After we have taken a long look at the first two hours of Baldur’s Gate 3, we know that it will be quite an extensive game.
There is a lot we want to know about the upcoming RPG, but what matters is that we are going to see it in the near future. Larian has just dropped a new teaser of Baldur’s Gate 3, and it also indicates that proper reveals will start on June 6, happening within the Guerrilla Collective showcase, an incredibly important event within the gaming community.
For gamers who are more experienced with the RPG genre, whether Baldur’s Gate 3 will match the first two games in the series is an important question. Regarding that, what we can say from the initial teaser is that the game is very similar to the Divinity: Original Sin games. That was to be expected, considering that Larian probably does not want to completely reinvent the genre with Baldur’s Gate 3. However, we must also remember that the game is first came out over 20 years ago.
What remains to be seen is how the game’s developers will make changes to this game, when compared to the Divinity: Original Sin games. These are a series of incredible RPGs, but what we are all looking forward to seeing for now is the third installment of the Baldur’s Gate series.
