Following the announcement of the upcoming Saints Row reboot game at Gamescom Opening Night Live, a previous entry in the video game series will be given to players at no cost.

Saint Row: The Third Remastered is now available for free on the Epic Games Store exclusively for PC gamers. The game will be free for a limited time, but you will get to keep it forever once you’ve added it to your library. As long as you claim this offer before September 2, then the game is yours to keep.

The game was initially released back in 2011 as the third entry in the Saints Row franchise. It was noticeably wackier and more arcade-like game than the previous games which made it stand out more.

The remastered version was added last year bringing with it some much needed updated visuals and improved graphics for a more up to date gameplay experience. It also includes all the post-launch DLC and mission packs added to the original game. This is a great way to encourage players to get familiar with Saints Row prior to the release of the upcoming game.

You can get your free copy of Saints Row: The Third Remastered by visiting its Epic Games Store page and creating an account if you haven’t done so already. In addition, Automashef is another game that is also being given away for free at the moment which may be worth checking out. Finally, Yoku’s Island Express will be next week’s free game once Saints Row and Automashef are no longer available after September 2.

The next Saints Row reboot game hopes to reinvent the series and is set to launch on February 22, 2022.
