The Settlers Gets Delayed

The Settlers, the town-building simulation game, has been planned for a long time, but it will take longer, depending on when it launches. Ubisoft has now announced that the eight installment in the Settlers series has been delayed so that the team can take some time off to work on the fan feedback. For now, a new date has not been chosen.

In an announcement post, the developers explained that they are on the right path to deliver a great game, but they really want to bring their fans a gaming experience that will leave them in awe and completely immerse them. The developers promised that this additional time will be used to address feedback and will eventually result in the best The Settlers experience there is. This information was shared with the fanbase in a Twitter post that the developers made on the official account of The Settlers on 2 July, 2020.

Many fans of The Settlers currently feel that there are a lot of amazing parts in the game. For example, the military side, the in-game economy, the visual aesthetic and the UI of The Settlers are all up to the standard, but the game is still not the exceptional gaming experience that they were hoping for.

The team that has been working on The Settlers did not remain silent, as it sometimes happens before a game gets delayed. Rather, they have been regularly posting news updates about various biomes and buildings in The Settlers. This really brings some credibility to their decision to delay the launch of the game in the series.

Ubisoft have explained that they are not able to provide a new timeframe or a date to expect the next game. This probably means that they will not be able to see it at the Ubisoft Forward showcase happening next year.
