OnePlus recently revealed that the following affordable smartphone lineup, previously known as the OnePlus 8 Lite and later believed to be the OnePlus Z, will be officially named OnePlus Nord.
Leaks And Rumors
However, OnePlus hasn’t revealed a lot of information about the smartphone’s specifications.
Past leaks about the device have provided us a decent look at its design and camera module. However, some rumors about the smartphone’s hardware were contradictory until recently.
Initially, rumors suggested that the OnePlus Nord would feature a MediaTek Dimensity 1000 chipset. However, it was recently confirmed that the smartphone would pack a Qualcomm Snapdragon 765 SoC.
Here’s a tweet from Qualcomm that confirmed the speculations:

The choice of the Qualcomm Snapdragon 765 SoC was also confirmed by OnePlus co-founder Carl Pei, in an interview with TechRadar.
Though the processor of the OnePlus Nord was the main highlight, there are some other specifications we look up to.
It’s believed that the OnePlus Nord will pack a 64MP triple camera setup, a 4,300 mAh battery, and 30W fast charging. The display will have a crisp 90Hz refresh rate.
OnePlus even confirmed that the Nord will cost less than $500, which is impressive given its specifications.
There is no official data about the Nord’s release date, but some believe it will most likely launch in Europe and India on July 10th.
We can’t wait to get our hands on the new OnePlus smartphone and experience how the company delivered flagship performance at an affordable price!
