There is some good news for fans of Minecraft’s dungeon crawler, Minecraft Dungeons. The game has just released its first DLC, Jungle Awakens. Do you think you can guess where Jungle Awakens takes place? No? Well do not worry, we are here to tell you. The action is set in the jungle and it is a fascinating, lush, green adventure. As you probably know, there are a lot of mobs in the jungle, so you will need to kill a lot of them to complete a number of quests and the obtain the much-desired loot. The DLC is centered around the Orb of Dominance, which, although it was destroyed in the main game, still holds some power over the pixelated jungle.
Well, it is not like the story of Minecraft Dungeons is that important. The DLC has three missions, and by playing them you can gain access to new artifacts, armor and weapons. The mobs even include some scary monsters, such as the leapleaf. Again, can you guess what the leapleaf is? Yep, it is a leaf that leaps. There is also the jungle zombie, so pretty much a zombie that lives in the jungle and has a bunch of moss and vines attached to it. There are many, many more aptly-named mobs and there is even a trailer available on Minecraft Dungeon’s page, in which you can see how a fight against these would play out.
If you do not want to pay for this new jungle-based DLC, do not worry. You can get a bunch of free additions to the base game as well. Some of the additions include a free of charge Lower Temple map, an impressive amount of new weapons, such as Dual Crossbows and the Battlestaff. There is also an added threat level that can increase the chance of there being high-power gear drops.
