Indiana Jones 5: Steven Spielberg Won’t Be Back to Direct

We haven’t seen an Indiana Jones movie in a decade. The last movie was made back in 2009, and it was named Indiana Jones: Kingdom Of The Crystal Skull. We have heard something about a new game for the franchise, and the maker (and the cast) started to talk about another part quite a while ago.

So when is the release date of the movie?

The fifth movie of the series was mentioned about the creator of the series, George Lucas, Steven Spielberg, and Harrison Ford. Back in 2016, they announced the movie. It was supposed to be released a year after, but that did not happen. Then, the release date was moved to 2020, and then, in 2021. Now, the release date for the movie is the 9th of July, 2021.

What about the cast?

Harrison Ford will surely be back because there’s no Indiana Jones without Harrison Ford. But we do not know much about the rest of the cast. John Rice Davis was interested in coming back as the sidekick, Sall, but there is nothing official yet.

The co-creator of Crystal Skull, David Koepp, was asked to make the content for the fifth movie, and John Kasdan was also on that list. But, from what we have heard so far, Steven Spielberg will not be back for Indiana Jones Five.

Steven Spielberg will not be back for the fifth movie

Indiana Jones Five will not have Steven Spielberg as its director. He has been quite busy working for some time, and we don’t believe he’ll be back for this one. However, James Mangold will direct the movie.

Right now, there is nothing official, so we are still waiting. Harrison Ford is a big name, and it is kind of hard to estimate who will be back for the fifth movie.
