Some game files tend to become corrupted in time due to a variety of reasons. Corrupted files can cause crashes since the game engine doesn’t know what to do with them and stops working
It is easy to verify the files with the help of a single command line: C:\Program Files\Rockstar Games\Grand Theft Auto V. Note that this command has to be entered in the cmd app, which can be wound easily with the Windows Search bar. If your game is installed in a different folder, change the path accordingly.
