GTA 6 is one of the hottest subjects of the moment, but many gamers are forgetting one tiny detail – GTA 5 isn’t going anywhere anytime soon.
At the recent PlayStation 5 event, Rockstar Games revealed that an “enhanced and expanded: Grand Theft Auto V.”
GTA V will be released on the PS5 in the second half of the next year, nearly eight years after its original launch.
However, there’s a catch – The game will only be free during its first three months. GTA Online will also include exclusive content for gamers that play it on next-gen systems.
Rockstar’s recent announcement claimed that “a range of technical improvements, visual upgrades, and performance enhancements” will be done to the PS5 version of GTA V.
The company hasn’t ever released an enhanced version of the game for the Xbox One X or PS4 Pro, which have extremely capable hardware.
However, Rockstar will be taking “full advantage” of the predicted success of the following generation of consoles to launch the enhanced version of the game. That will probably the final port of the game before the release of GTA 6.
Rockstar says that the new version will be “more beautiful and more responsive than ever.”
Rockstar had sold more than 130 million copies of GTA 5 since its release back in 2013.
To further promote the game, they have announced that $1,000,000 in-game GTA Online dollars will be granted to each player each month until the game gets released on the PS5 next year.
To get access to the money, you only need to play the game once every month. Obviously, to do that, you will need an active PS Plus Subscription.
The game is supposed to be launched on the PS5 in the second half of 2021.
