The Samsung Galaxy 20 Fan Edition Will Be Released Soon

Samsung has been hard at work on the release of several products in recent months, and a new one is being prepared for an official showcase event. The new product is rumored to a more affordable version of the Samsung Galaxy S20 Ultra and Plus.

Known under the name of Samsung Galaxy S20 Fan Edition (or FE), the device should offer some of the features present on the more expensive versions of the S20 range at a more affordable price tag, a mix that makes it a solid option for Samsung fans looking for an upgrade

Great specs

Recent rumors note that the upcoming device will sport a 6.5-inch panel with a 120Hz refresh rate, on par with the displays found across the other S20 smartphones.

On the inside, Qualcomm’s finest should be present in the form of the acclaimed Snapdragon 865 or Snapdragon 865+ SoC, which should offer a performance output worthy of a flagship. Two memory configurations will be available as the device will come with 6GB of RAM and 128 or 256 of built-in UFS 3.1 storage space.

Camera rumors

On the rear, users will find a triple camera array with a 12MP wide sensor, an 8MP telephoto sensor with up to 3x optical zoom, and a  12MP ultrawide sensor. Advanced features like OIS and Dual Pixel PDAF will be present, and the users will have the option to record 8K, 4K, and 1080p videos.

Some sources also anticipate that the device will be compatible with 5G networks, a trait that could give a major advantage against other smartphone models that will be released in the following months. The price remains a mystery for now, but it should be around $750 or lower, enough to make a competitor against the iPhone 12 and iPhone 12 Max.

An official announcement is expected before the end of September.
