Necromunda: Unerhive Wars: Most Exciting Upcoming Turn-Based Video Game

The team which has developed Mordheim: City of the Damned, which is an interpretation of the well-known tabletop skirmish game from Games Workshop, has been working on Necromunda: Underhive Wars for years on end. We are personally quite excited about this, as this Warhammer 40,000 tabletop game definitely deserves a digital equivalent.

The latest trailer released by Games Workshop is a very interesting one. The developers’ interpretation of Mordheim’s rules do not exactly match the rules of the tabletop games, but they do a very good job in capturing the overall mood of the city of Mordheim. The units and the factions that fans of the tabletop games are so familiar with have been given a clear and authentic representation, so the Necromunda game looks like it has an extensive attention to detail. So far, we have not seen any gameplay footage, but it looks like, visually and atmospherically speaking, Rogue Factors, the developers of the game, have got the right vibe with Mordheim: City of the Damned.

Our team and a significant fanbase all love the turn-based tactical battle renaissance that has been going on in the gaming industry in the past few months. We have been spoiled with quite a few games lately. We got Gears: Tactics, which was an unexpected hit and definitely a gem of the genre, came right after the latest installment in the famed XCOM franchise, XCOM: Chimera Squad. Personally, I greatly enjoy a wargame that enables me to boil a cup of tea between turns, take a nap, go for a run, and enjoy a tasty breakfast between I take the next turn. All of this process is necessary to find out what the most efficient battle plan is. Well. No matter how many activities the future brings, Necromunda’s new game is definitely something to look out for.
