BMW M4 2021 Edition Has Been Spied Hiding Its Large Grille

The captured spy images of the 2021 BMW M4 indicates the introduction of such a large grille. Such a thing could come as a surprise for some, while for others, the revival is very much expected. After all, the so well-known grille made BMW pretty much famous and easy to recognize.

BMW, was, however, sure to hide almost everything of what the new M4 Coupe will have, but it left a lower part uncovered, most of it covered in black. That part will likely be the large kidney grille. Will the new M4 need that much cooling? Until official statements and presentations, we could only assume that.

Speculations of what the next-generation M3 and M4 will bring for performance, are highly discussed. The same twin-turbocharged 3.0-liter inline-six engine could power both cars. The engine is also found in the X3 M, and X4 M. Other reports indicate a version with a rear-wheel drive and a manual transmission. More about M4 will know soon because the M3 is expected to be launched in the next few months.

BMW’s Famous Grille History

The famous and so well-appreciated kidney grille design was first introduced in 1933 at the Geneva International Motor Show. It became in time one of those noticeable design elements of BMW that you just won’t be able to forget so easily.

The accurate cut shape of these kidneys firstly came up when there was an attempt to decrease aerodynamic friction. Over time the grille has been redesigned to look more like the modern car manufactures.
