One short week after it was announced, Bloodstained: Curse of the Moon 2 came out with a brand new trailer. More importantly, this trailer was followed with an actual, official release date. Bloodstained: Curse of the Moon 2 is the sequel to an 8-bit Castlevania spin-off that was crowdfunded, known as Bloodstained: Ritual of the Moon. The pixelated platform-slashing game is going to arrive to Steam in less than two weeks. Curse of the Moon 2 has such a gravely voice-over, that it is almost comical. The new trailer of the game introduces us to the live-action by giving us more than what we wanted. It is low-resolution, crunchy demon-slayer whipping action. This game is full of slashing down and kicking gothic beasts. Of course, this is, for the most part, the same trailer as before. An extra minute of footage was ended to the end of the video. The extension to the video does, however, confirm that the characters of the first game, such as Alfred, Miriam and Gebel, will be returning alongside the supporting cast: Robert, Zangetsu, Hachi and Dominique. As opposed to the reimagining conceived by Ritual of the Moon, which is a spin-off of Castlevania: Symphony of the Night, Bloodstained: Curse of the Moon is closer to the NES roots of the older part of the series. Despite there being some dated limitations to it, Dave, which writes game guides for Rock Paper Shotgun, explained that the first moon curse crammed a lot of style into its short, but intense gameplay. This came both in its original character designs and the well-crafted pixel art. Curse of the Moon is extremely good at making bosses feel like they really are a big deal. For example, Valefor, which is one of the bosses, throws around cash in his money bin just as if he was Scrouge McDuck. This is both memorable and fun.
