Season 4 of Call Of Duty: Modern Warfare has already started a week ago, together with its partner battle royale game, Call Of Duty: Warzone. As we are starting to get the hand of the more wilder changes that this season brought, Infinity Ward believes that the times is due to change the game’s weapons in the mid-season update. This update could be the one that takes a certain rifle from the top spot that it has held for way too long, in some players’ opinions. Personally, I am a little behind on the whole Warzone phenomenon, but from what I understand from the rest of the gaming community, folks that are up on Call Of Duty’s battle royale meta, there is one rifle that has caused an uproar within the fanbase, and that is the dreaded Grau 5.56. Guides master Ollie has written a Warzone loadouts guide. In that guide, it is explained that the Grau 5.56 is almost like a laser in accuracy and it enables players to beat even entrenched snipers at a distance of over a hundred meters. What is even more annoying about the rifle is that you do not even need a lot of practice to use it properly. Regardless, many players feel that the Grau has been the dominating weapon in Call Of Duty: Warzone for way too long. Joe Cecot, the multiplayer co-design director of the game, has recently tweeted in response to some fan concerns, explaining that a batch of weapon adjustments is now headed to Call Of Duty in a mid-season update coming soon. The latest season of Call Of Duty: Modern Warfare started in early June and it added some chaotic brand new mid-match events to its battle royale mode. Personally, I do not expect the mid-season update to change as many things, but this weapon change should breathe some life into the current meta.
