ASUS ROG Phone 3 Archives

ASUS revealed its ROG Phone 3 only several days ago, and we must admit that it's one hell of a smartphone. Packing video recording capabilities in the 8K format, 8 to 16 GB of RAM, a main camera of 64MP, 6000 mAh for the battery life along with 30W Fast Charging, and a Snapdragon 865+ processor, you can guess for yourself what kind of a phone we're talking about. The refresh rate of the display is also an important criterion regarding smartphones, and ROG Phone 3 doesn't fall short for that category at all. This latest version is capable of 144Hz, but an even higher refresh rate of 160Hz is under testing. Activate the 160Hz refresh rate using one ADB command If you own a ROG Phone 3, surely you can activate the higher refresh rate with one ADB command. By looking through the settings app, you can find the needed debug command. Once you enter it, the 160Hz mode will appear as an option within the settings menu. The magical command is the following: adb shell setprop debug.vendor.asus.fps.eng 1 After you enter the command, you'll just have to reboot your phone. The 160Hz option will further emerge in Settings > Display > Refresh Rate. The new refresh rate sure makes a good team with the other specifications of the AMOLED display of ROG Phone 3. There's 6.59 inches for the size of the screen, and the 1080 x 2340 pixels resolution cannot be overlooked as well. The display also features Corning Gorilla Glass 6 protection. ASUS Phone ROG 3 also has Android 10 onboard, and the Adreno 650 GPU sure completes the full picture of a smartphone suitable for gaming. If you're not into gaming for smartphones in general, connecting a PS4 or Xbox controller is always a good idea.
