Based on a unique gaming concept, Pokemon GO managed to gather an impressive amount of players. At the middle of 2018, The Pokémon Company announced that its game reached more than 800 million downloads all over the world. There’s no wonder why, as the idea of searching the real environment for those strong little pocket monsters had outstanding success. It’s just like in the Pokemon universe: you gotta catch ’em all, but those creatures won’t throw the towel without a tough fight!
The Mega September event for Pokemon GO brings along a lot of exciting stuff, and it has already gone live. This means three weeks of activities. The official Twitter account of Pokemon GO says the following:
“Enjoy Mega Evolution themed events from September 1 to September 28! Battle in Mega Raids, take on other Trainers’ Mega-Evolved Pokémon in battle, and make your Mega-Evolved Pokémon your buddy! “
First Week: Mega Raids
Lasting from September 1 until September 7, this first part of the Mega September event unfolds new Raid Battles and Mega-Evolved Pokemon. You’ll also get to see increased spawns for these Pokemon:
- Abra
- Magnemite
- Exeggcute
- Rhyhorn
- Tangela
- Electabuzz
- Omanyte
- Aerodactyl
- Murkrow
- Treecko
- Torchic
- Lotad
- Roselia
Second Week: Mega-Evolved Battles
This one lasts between September 11 and 17, and it offers players the chance to use Mega-Evolved Pokemon within gym battles, PvP matches, and more.
Another event-exclusive set of Field Research tasks become available for the player to complete. The Mega Beedrill is the star of the show this time, and you can obtain by completing the “A Mega Discovery” Special Research questline. You’ll even get additional Beedrill Mega Energy for completing the new Field Research tasks.
Third Week: Mega-Evolved Buddies
You’re free to get your hands on the third week of the Mega September event during September 22 and September 28. If you’re willing to improve your friendship level with a Mega-Evolved Pokemon you have, playing this mode is the right way.
