Vivo is one of the most popular smartphone manufacturers, and the company has been hard at work on a new model that should be released soon.
Fresh teaser images for the iQoo Neo 85 showcase a device fitted with a lightning-fast 256GB UFS 3.0 storage solution, which promises impressive speeds. UFS or Universal Flash Storage is a storage standard for portable devices like smartphones and digital cameras. Reading and writing speeds are considerably higher in comparison to the classic eMMC solution while power consumption remains the same.
UFS 3.0 can reach a sequential read speed of up to 2100MB/s and a sequential write speed of up to 410MB/s. The technology facilitates a large number of tasks, including the ability to play 4K videos and demanding video games on your smartphone.
As the name hint, the device will sport the Snapdragon 855 SoC, known for the high performance and low power consumption. The powerful SOC offers an impressive multi-gigabit 4G connectivity, superior AI capabilities, excellent performance and much more. It will be coupled with at least 6GB of RAM, which should offer solid performance.
The design of the device may not be ground-breaking, but it is quite beautiful. It features minimal bezels and a stylish teardrop notch, which houses the selfies camera, with a slim speaker grille present above. The left and right edges of the screen are very thin and seem to be rounded to increase the comfort while the device is being held.
A different teaser image mentions that the device will feature a generous 4500 mAh battery, which should keep it alive for an entire day even if several tasks are performed. Users will have the option to charge it with a 33W fast charger, and it seems that it can be charged to 25% in 10 minutes.
The device will be released in China on October 24.
