Google has shocked the world with Waze and Maps, two navigation apps that we can't imagine our lives without. The two pieces of software are in strong competition, being hard to decide for sure which one is better. However, today we'll be talking only about Maps, one of the most used apps made by Google. The tech behemoth from Mountain View is continuing to show that it offers a significant focus on the software field, although the company also has some impressive contributions for the hardware area as well. YouTube, Gmail, the Play Store, Drive, Hangouts, Translate, the Calendar, and others are among the most significant apps offered by Google. Faster speed Some fans of the Google Maps app might be disappointed by the fact that the new update doesn't bring any new features. Instead, it improves the app by making it faster. The 10.39.2 update brings bug fixes and software improvements. The navigation app was experiencing some lagging before the update, but now the problem should be gone for good. Also, the start-up time got shortened along with the new update. Nobody likes lagging, as it can be more annoying than anything throughout the web. However, maybe Google Maps doesn't need new features anymore since it has pretty much anything a user could want. As the official presentation from the Play Store says: "Navigate your world faster and easier with Google Maps. Over 220 countries and territories mapped and hundreds of millions of businesses and places on the map. Get real-time GPS navigation, traffic, and transit info, and explore local neighborhoods by knowing where to eat, drink and go - no matter what part of the world you're in." The new 10.39.2 update for Google Maps is being rolled out now, and it's very easy to get your hands on it: just keep connected to a Wi-Fi network because you should receive a notification via OTA channels. Otherwise, you have the possibility of manually downloading the update via an APK (Android Package Kit).
