Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker Expected To Score $200 Million At The Box Office

Next month will come with a big surprise for fans of the series Star Wars. The Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker is expected to be one of the biggest movies in cinema history because of the estimation for the box office.

Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker Could Hit $200 Million

Only in the first weekend from the launch, the film could score between $175 million and $200 million. If the estimations are correct, then the sci-fi movie will be a huge success.

Right now, the record is held by the Avengers: Endgame, with $357 million in the U.S. The record was set in one weekend from the opening of the film. If the Star Wars: Rise of Skywalker can achieve $200 million in the U.S, then it will be the eight movies in the history of cinema with this success.

On the list of the eight successful films with the $200 million or higher made in the opening, we have six made by Disney/Marvel, and one Universal Picture (Jurassic World).

Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker is expected to be a great success

The last movie from Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker, is the one that concludes everything we know by now. The saga began in 1977, and with the final one, we can finally get some answers to some mysteries. Maybe we will not find answers to everything we need to know, but there is hope.

Unfortunately, Carrie Fisher died before the movie was starting to film, but the producers found a way to introduce her in the film. We will see Fisher thanks to unused footage and entries from the space opera series.

Finally, the estimations about the Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker could not stand the same until the opening. On the same day of its debut, another film is opening too. The second premiere will be from Universal’s Cats movies, with a movie that follows Andrew Lloyd Webber’s Broadway Show. The movie will have big names included in the production, such as Taylor Swift, Jennifer Hudson, Jason Derulo, and many more.
