Star Wars Adventures – What’s Coming Soon for the Comic Book

Star Wars is a franchise that will live forever in the hearts of the fans of sci-fi productions. With a glorious history of over four decades since it was initially created by George Lucas, Star Wars is now looking to revive the franchise as much as possible. The comic book Star Wars Adventures seems to be coming in the spotlight soon.

Editor-in-Chief in IDW publishing, Chris Ryall, spoke about the brand-new comic series that will be mainly aimed towards younger subscribers. His statement was as follows:

“For Your Editor-in-Chief at IDW, the focus of Star Wars Adventures is not to generate lore-centric experiences from within the universe, but rather cultivate a brand new audience of comic book readers, especially Star Wars comic readers. Following Ryall, earlier issues will be made to get readers comfortable and spent with some of the franchises’ familiar faces, permitting IDW to play around with lesser-known characters later on. All these”backup stories” will be hosted by Maz Kanata, who Ryall warns, is not necessarily the most reliable of narrators, not when it comes to supplying canonical tales.”

The legacy must continue

Judging by how active the Star Wars franchise was during the recent years, we can expect it to continue in the same matter for the near future. We’ve seen the launches of several successful movies during the last five years: Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker in 2019, Star Wars: The Last Jedi in 2017, and Star Force: The Force Awakens in 2015.

The Star Wars movie from 2019 was produced by Lucasfilm and Abrams’ production company Bad Robot Productions. The movie was distributed by Walt Disney Studios Motion Pictures. The film’s cast includes Richard E. Grant, Lupita Nyong’o, Keri Russell, Joonas Suotamo, Kelly Marie Tran, Ian McDiarmid, Daisy Ridley, John Boyega, Oscar Isaac, Anthony Daniels, Carrie Fisher, Mark Hamill, Adam Driver, Naomi Ackie, Domhnall Gleeson, and Billy Dee Williams.
