CBS released a new extended trailer for Star Trek: Picard. Fans are excited to see Patrick Stewart play his role as Jean-Luc Picard after waiting for almost two decades.
Although still profoundly affected by the loss of Lieutenant Commander Data and the destruction of Romulus, the retired admiral Jean-Luc Picard steps into the next chapter of his life, and we are getting the popcorn ready.
Getting back on track, let’s talk about the new extended trailer released. The ship that was previously destroyed in 1994’s Star Trek: Generations, Enterprise-D, can be noticed in the trailer in a short shot. Enterprise-D was replaced by the Enterprise-E in later spin-off movies based on the Next Generation TV series. The trailer ends with Brent Spiner taking up his role as Data.

The returning of Picard
A young girl is asking -Luc Picard for help, which makes him come out of retirement after 18 years following the events of Star Trek: Nemesis. It took a lot of convincing to get Patrick Stewart to return to the role; however, he accepted it, and we couldn’t be happier. This show really looks like a completely different proposition to TNG.
Star Trek: Picard is more in line with the high-budget modern drama feel of Star Trek: Discovery, and there is no doubt that the producers are expecting it to attract the public’s eye besides the TNG fans.
The Star Trek: Picard will bring other actors to the show, such as Ryan in her role as Seven of Nine from Star Trek: Voyager, while Jonathan Frakes and Marina Sirtis return as Riker and Troi. TNG fans can enjoy more of the Star Trek: Picard besides the Enterprise-D and Data.
Star Trek: Picard release date
Star Trek: Picard season 2 has already been confirmed and will air exclusively on CBS All Access from January 23 in the US only. As for the international fans, they will be able to enjoy the show starting on January 24 on Amazon Prime Video.
