Spider-Man 3 is the next movie from the renowned trilogy set to be released, in which Tom Holand is starring. The actor has revealed that the upcoming movie will probably be delayed.
The possible delay of the Spider-Man 3 movie
According to the actor, the production will be delayed because of the new coronavirus outbreak. As you probably already know, big Hollywood projects have been delayed or suspended because of the epidemic, and they are shifting their already-set release dates to other dates. They are all thinking of the safety of the public and the employees.
However, there is no confirmation about the delay of Sony’s Spiderman 3 movie. In an interview with Jimmy Kimmel, Tom Holland stated: “I’m not too positive. I was in Berlin, making a movie named Uncharted with Mark Wahlberg. And we were set to go, we went to set for day one of shooting, and then we got shut down, and we got sent home.”
He also stated that he is always ready to play Spiderman and that he is comfortable enough with the character.
What we know so far about the Spider-Man 3 movie
The third movie will take place after the events in the first two movies. Seamus McGarvey was the director of the previous two movies, Spider-Man: Homecoming and Spider-Man: Far From Home, but it seems that Jon Watts will direct this one.
Both Disney and Sony stated back in December 2019 that Spiderman 3 will be released on the 16th of July, 2021. We think that this release date will not be affected by what the world is going through right now, but it is better to be safe than sorry.
Tom Holland, Zendaya, Jacob Batalon, Jon Favreau, and Marisa Tomei are expected to reprise their roles in the Spider-Man 3 movie, the next installment in the most recent trilogy.
