Sherlock Season 5 – Benedict Cumberbatch and Martin Freeman Are Returning

BBC fans, hear us out because Sherlock Season 5 is coming to show us once again the adventure of the detective and his partner. The classic novel, written by Sir Arthur Conan Doyle, Sherlock Holmes, was modernized and transformed by Mark Gatiss and Steven Moffat. Sherlock Holmes is a fictional private detective created by the author, and now is coming to life thanks to Benedict Cumberbatch and his partner Martin Freeman.

Since the first appearance of the series, the success was theatrical, and with the two actors, the show is still receiving views every day. Unfortunately, the fourth title from the TV series appeared three years ago, and the fans are waiting for a continuation. The great news about Season 5 is coming straight from the two actors who are hinting at the status of the season. The hints are about the renewal and the release date of Sherlock Season 5.

Besides this, having no word or official statement from anybody for the last years can make you worry. Most actors from the cast are involved in other projects as well, so the suspicions of having the show over are high.

More about Sherlock Season 5 cast

Martin Freeman and Benedict Cumberbatch were the ones that sent hints for the next season. Dr. Watson was asked about Season 5, and he responded that if it is something exciting and right, he is open to it.

Also, the most exciting declaration comes from Andrew Scott, who plays the character, Jim Moriarty. He replied to Martin Freeman’s post that Sherlock Season 5 is not having the doors closed. Even if the title comes a bit later than everyone expects, it will come for sure. As for Benedict Cumberbatch, he received the same question, and he said that Sherlock is not over, so these rumors are false.

Overall, Sherlock – Season 5 will appear at some point, with delay, but we now have our hopes up. If we do simple math based on Benedict Cumberbatch’s project with Doctor Strange 2, we could see our favorite detective somewhere in 2022.
