The animated TV show, Rick and Morty, is one of the most praised sitcoms so far. The duo who loves to venture into the universe, create mischief, explore impossible situations, and play with science, has many chances to return for a season 5. Rick and Morty are now part of many viewers’ lives since their story first aired back in 2013.
Season 2 was released a little bit later, in 2015, then it was followed by season 3 in 2017. Currently, we’re enjoying season 4 with only 5 episodes so far since November 2019.
But as some fans now are waiting so much for at least a tease about the last 5 episodes, others are looking for the next season installment. So, how many chances do we have to see our favorite duo in a season 5? Also, what are the producers’ plans, and what should we expect from Rick and Morty?
Rick and Morty Season 5 Rumors
First, should we expect a season 5? Well, yes! Adult Swim made such news official after it announced season 4 with a renewal of more than 70 episodes. So, it seems we have chances to witness the airing of more than 5 seasons if every season has 10 episodes. Also, we shouldn’t be worried about how much we’re going to wait for the next season, as we waited for season 4.
“The plan has always been to get them out quicker. I think it’s safe to say without fear of being wrong that the gap between seasons three and four will be the longest and last that it’s ever so long that it’s ridiculous. I don’t know how fast we can do it, but I know it will never be this long again,” explained Dan Harmon and Justin Roiland, the producers of the animated series.
If the creative team stays on track and focus on releasing season 5 way quicker, we should see Rick and Morty somewhere around April 2020 or by the end of the year.
