Resident Evil 3: A Look at this Year’s Most High-Profile Remake

The most relevant survival horror game out there is the remake of Resident Evil 3. Developed and published by the well-known company Capcom, Resident Evil 3 is a revisiting of Resident Evil 3: Nemesis, which originally appeared in 1999. The story follows two of the series’ protagonists, Carlos Oliviera and Jill Valentine as they fight a zombie apocalypse while being hunted by a sentient bio-weapon named Nemesis.

The remake of Resident Evil 3 appeared on PlayStation 4, Xbox One and Microsoft Windows on April 3, 2020. Together with the remake, Resident Evil: Resistance was released. Quite unlike other installments of the Resident Evil series, Resident Evil: Resistance is an online multiplayer game and is an experience that many fans of the franchise have been looking forward to.

Resident Evil 3 has been in development since 2016. An announcement regarding its release was made in 2019 and the game was finally dropped in April 2020, so gamers went through quite a long wait before being able to play this remake of the classic Resident Evil 3: Nemesis.

The console version of the game came with a unique collector’s edition and it featured a figure of Jill Valentine, a Racoon City map poster, a hardcover art book and a two-disc soundtrack. The extensive collector’s edition is sure to satisfy even the most die-hard fans of the Resident Evil series.

The game’s camera angles have been given a lot of attention by the developers and were designed in such a manner as to ensure maximum realism for the players. Different aspects of this game, ranging from its original soundtrack to the non-playable characters, are all quite distinct and attention-grabbing.

Together with Resident Evil 3, players will receive Resident Evil: Resistance. This online multiplayer mode will see a team of four players against a so-called “mastermind”, which can create enemies, traps and other obstacles which the initial four have to overcome.
