Everything starts with a rumor or a leak, but the moment you piece things together, and you have an official confirmation, life makes more sense. Last year in September, the site Renadian Intelligence was leaking the fact that Netflix was working on a new Witcher story.
The official news from the streaming platform came two days ago; Netflix is doing an anime version of The Witcher.
Netflix is keeping up the good work, and it seems that spinoffs are suitable for the public as well. Besides this, the anime genre is popular now, and having The Witcher in that way is kind of cool. What Netflix is revealing is the development of an anime series from the show The Witcher.
This anime version is called The Witcher: Nightmare of the Wolf and has an exciting story. Besides this, the action seems to be set right in the center of the storyline, and Netflix is saying that a new threat will face the Continent.
The Witcher: Nightmare of the Wolf anime series from Netflix
As in the case of the show, the anime series is produced by Lauren Hissrich and Beau DeMayo. About the studio creating the anime, we are talking about the one which produced Legend of Korra, Studio Mir.
The studio has some popular titles on their list, such as Lego Elves: Secrets of Elvendale, Legendary Defender, and the Age of Wonderbeats for the giant streaming service.
We have some pieces of information missing. For example, we don’t know the release dates of The Witcher: Nightmare of the Wolf, and the cast. We can hope that Netflix will use the cast from the series, but nothing is sure.
Also, the burning question is if we are talking about an anime series or a single film. The Witcher Season 2 will appear next year, so having a new reason to continue the idea of the Witcher is just perfect with the Nightmare of the Wolf.
