It’s difficult to keep up with the high standards in gaming nowadays if you’re a company that creates gadgets in this field, but this doesn’t also apply for Microsoft. Besides the highly anticipated next-generation console Xbox Series X that will land on the stores around December, Microsoft is also working on other gaming machines.
Microsoft Surface Book 3 is approaching its launch fast, and judging by the info we have until now, it will be a laptop ideal for gaming. Let’s dive right into detail:
Specs
The hardware capabilities are outstanding, and they will be able to run even the most demanded games when it comes to the configuration. The upcoming laptop will feature 10th-generation processors from Intel, and 16 Series GTX GPUs from NVIDIA. Giving that the Surface Book 3 will also have a staggering 32 GB of RAM and 1 TB of storage, the overall specs are already powerful enough to smoothly run games like Project CARS 2, Far Cry 5, Shadow of the Tomb Raider, Assassin’s Creed: Odyssey, or Hitman 2. The machine will also feature Xbox easy wireless controller support.
Design
Compared to the previous models, Surface Book 3 won’t be too different when it comes to the design. There will be a new charging port and Surface Connect port on the top of other ports: the USB-A and USB-C.
Release Date
Surface Book 3 will most likely be launched on May 19 to 21 since that’s when Microsoft Build 2020 will take place. Various sources are claiming that both Surface Book 3 and Surface Go 2 will be launched during this event.
Another hypothesis is that the Surface Book 3 will be launched during the Big Apple event from New York, which will take place in the Spring.
Better than Surface Book 2
Judging by the specs, Surface Book 3 is a significant increase for its predecessor, Surface Book 2. The older laptop was packed with 16 GB of RAM, an NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1060 video card, and a Quad-Core i7-8650U processor from Intel, as the highlights.
We’re eagerly waiting for the Surface Book 3 to arrive, and we’re curious about the price. Don’t expect such tech beauty to be cheap, however, but it will definitely be worth its money.
For a minute there I thought you had some up to date news about the Surface Book 3 sadly this is a nicely written rehash of a previous rumour.
But I’d definitely buy a ‘Gaming Book 3’.
