The next movie from the Matrix series, Matrix 4, will welcome actor Brian J. Smith to the cast. If you think you know him, it is because you do. He worked with Lana Wachowski on Netflix’s Sense8 series. Lana Wachowski worked with her sister on the original Matrix trilogy, and she will be back for the next movie. The film will be released on May 21, 2021. The scriptwriters are Lana Wachowski, Aleksandar Hemon, and David Mitchell.
The Matrix is believed to be one of the best science-fiction films ever. However, the sequels were not as good. In the movie, we get to see Keanu Reeves, Carrie-Anne Moss, and Laurence Fishburne. Reeve’s character is Neo, who is a hacker that discovers that his world is an artificial reality that has been built by intelligent machines to control humans and use them as energy sources. Agent Smith, the original antagonist, was played by Hugo Weaving.

According to some reports, Smith has been cast in a mysterious role. Wachowski has made a plan: to bring back the people she worked with. Toby Onwumere and Eréndira Ibarra have also been cast into the movie in unknown roles. Jonathan Groff, Priyanka Chopra, Neil Patrick Harris, Andrew Caldwell, Jessica Henwick, and Yahya Abdul-Mateen II will also have a role in the movie. Reeves will be back as Neo, Jada Pinkett-Smith, as Niobe and Moss as Trinity. The Merovingian will be played by none other than Lambert Wilson.
Smith has previously joined the Sense8 science-fiction drama series on Netflix and has also played in the Jason Bourne spin-off television series, Treadstone. Sense8 was quite the hit. Shortly after the second season premiered, they canceled the show. Fans started to a petition to save it, and Netflix agreed with the Wachowski brothers on a finale movie.
