If you’re a parent, you probably want to set parental controls on Netflix and Amazon Prime. And it’s fair since you’re worried about what your kid might see online. Netflix and Amazon Prime are kid-friendly, but there is also adult content, which is not good for kids. We are here to tell you how to set parental controls on both of these platforms.
How to Set Parental Controls on Netflix?
Hard controls: you will need to choose a PIN for some maturity ratings. So set a 4-digit PIN, which you should enter before you watch the specific content. There are specific maturity levels: little kids, age of 6 or less, older kids, from 6 to 12 years old, teenage level, from 13 to 14, and adult, above 15+.
Don’t forget to add a child profile and mark the restrictions on the entire profile. You can do so by hitting Add Profile from your home screen. Tick the box for a child. These are the Soft controls.
How to Set Parental Controls on Amazon Prime?
All the Fire devices have their own Parental control settings. You need to manage them separately, for each device.
In order to set up a PIN, open your device, and go to Prime Video Settings, then go to Parental Controls. For iOS, you need to go to Settings, then to Parental Control, then change Prime Video PIN. For Android, go to the bottom menu to My Stuff. Go to settings, then to Parental Controls, then to Change PIN, then hit Save.
How to Set Parental Controls on Prime Video?
For PC, you need to go to Prime Video Settings, then to Parental Controls.
For iOS, you need to go to Settings right from the menu, then to Parental Controls, then to Viewing Restrictions.
For Android, go to My Stuff, then select Settings. Then go to Parental Controls, then to Viewing Restrictions. For all of these, don’t forget to select Age Restriction and then hit Save.
