House of The Dragon, The Prequel to Game of Thrones, Release Date, Production, and More

Games of Thrones is one of the most viewed, talked, and loved TV shows from all times. The series had eight seasons and 73 episodes and ended last year in May. However, everything might not have an end, because HBO announced that various spin-off shows are in development. As we know from books and the TV show, the world created by the author George R. R Martin, is a world full of stories and possibilities. So the HBO team has a lot of scenarios to work with, and the fans will be thrilled to see something new.

Expecting a spin-off is not something new for the fans; the problem is the waiting. Most of them have thought that the spin-off is already in the pilot phase, and it includes Jane Goldman and Naomi Watts. The pilot was shot, but another spin-off came to take the fans’ minds. So now, HBO is announcing the House of The Dragon with an entire full season. Let’s see what we know about the new title and what you should expect.

House of The Dragon – Release Date, Production, and More

The first thing we don’t have any confirmation about is the release date. The best guess from Casey Bloys, the programming chief from HBO is somewhere around 2022. The first season of the title will have ten episodes and are co-created by Ryan Condal alongside George R.R. Martin. The collaborations don’t end here, because Miguel Sapochnik will join the team. He is responsible for one of the best episodes from Game of Thrones, such as Battle of the Bastards, The Long Night, and The Bells.

Besides this, we don’t have official data regarding the cast. The House of the Dragon will happen 300 years earlier than the Games of Thrones so that you won’t see the same faces. The House of the Dragon has as inspiration the book Fire and Blood, from 2018, and it is the historical account of the rise of House Targaryen. Unfortunately, we don’t have trailers or pictures from the production yet.
