The world of gaming is continuously moving ahead, meaning that developers not only have to develop new versions of crowd favorites but also porting best-seller games to various platforms.
If you are among those who love action role-playing games, you’ve probably heard about the rumors of GTA V and Fallout 3 being ported to Nintendo Switch.
The success of the Switch is mainly a result of its portability, and many fans believed that Nintendo would make the smart choice of bringing two of the most popular games in history to the portable system.
GTA V
With the enormous popularity of Grand Theft Auto V, it’s almost a no-brainer for fans to expect the game ported on the Switch.
In 2018, CEO Straus Zelnick got everybody hyped when he confirmed that GTA V would be coming to the Switch “sooner rather than later.”
However, two years have passed, and there is no sign of GTA V on the Switch.
Experts say that some delays with the port happened because the game is so massive, and the graphics are too performant.
That means that to introduce GTA V on the Switch, developers have to optimize it as much as possible to provide a smooth experience.
Fallout 3
Rumors about Fallout 3 being ported to the Switch first appeared back in May 2018, when Bethesda tweeted a Fallout-style loading screen. Fans immediately interpreted it as a hind that a Switch port is in the works.
Speculations grew after Bethesda’s E3 2018 presentation, where a trailer featured the intro chords.
However, we learned later on that it was the trailer for Fallout 76.
In early 2019, Bethesda introduced yet another video, a Fallout-style countdown that reached “3”. That made fans even crazier, furthermore exciting them up about a remastered edition of Fallout 3.
Unfortunately, nothing was confirmed, and we have to be patient enough to see if 2020 is the year when Fallout 3 will finally be released on a Switch.
