Young gamers are in for quite a surprise. Doraemon: Story of Seasons is about to be released on PlayStation 4. After a long and tedious wait, this is finally happening. As of now, Doraemon: Story of Seasons is only available on PC and Nintendo Switch. It won’t be long, however, before it can also be played on PlayStation 4. Bandai Namco Entertainment, the company responsible for the game’s development, has announced its PlayStation 4 release at the beginning of the year. The scheduled release date is currently September 4, 2020.
Just a few months ago, gamers saw the trailer of Doraemon: Story of Seasons. The inspiration for this game is the well-known anime for children with the same name. At some point in our lives, most of us have seen at least a few episodes of this classic. A lot of children dream of being just like Nobita, the anime’s protagonist, and using all of his fancy gadgets. Well, this childhood dream is about to be fulfilled.
Most characters from the original anime make their appearance in the game. The main focus of Doraemon: Story of Seasons is agriculture. Nobita, the controllable character, will build his own farm, resulting in a wholesome experience and a great game for children.
The resulting game is not based on Doraemon alone. The game is a collaboration of the original anime and the Seasons/Harvest Moon franchise. The games in this franchise involve the players having to rebuild and renovate an old farm, so it is safe to assume that Doraemon: Story of Seasons will be quite similar.
The series’ record is quite a good one. For example, the hit game Stardew Valley has the same inspiration. It is thus safe to say that Doraemon: Story of Seasons has a lot of eager fans who are looking to revisit their childhood and have a fun gaming experience.
