The character in question is none other than Darth Vader, or at least the voice of Darth Vader. The actor responsible for it is presumably James Earl Jones. However, there are extremely low chances of Darth Vader returning for Rise of Skywalker, since he was very dead when we last saw him.
Speculations say it might be Emperor Palpatine, who will make a comeback in the new film, even though he was also dead at the end of Return of the Jedi.
The presented scene is very well put together, suggesting that Palpatine may have been the presumed villain of The Force Awakens and The Last Jedi. Still, without any more context, we can’t tell what exactly is happening in this scene.
One thing is sure, that The Rise of Skywalker will not leave any stone unturned, bringing the current Star Wars era to a glorious close. We’ll find out more details on how things turn out when the movie is released on December 20th.
