Apple’s Upcoming Augmented Reality Glasses: Release Date, Price, Features

One of the most long-awaited accessories from Apple is definitely the Augmented Reality Glasses, and rumors are bringing more and more information about this product. A recent leak regarding Apple’s future plans states that the unique device will be equipped with a never seen frame, specially designed by Steve Jobs.

Job Prosser, a dedicated leaker, is commonly known as a person that offers accurate information about Apple’s products. A not too long time ago, he revealed a couple of characteristics in the intel pieces of the Augmented Reality Glasses. This time, Prosser has announced that the company is planning on releasing a special edition product, which will be entitled as “Steve Jobs Heritage Edition Glasses.”

Up until now, there has been no official information regarding the price of the upcoming special edition. What is clear is that the design will bear a striking resemblance to the circular frames that are commonly worn in public by Steve Jobs. Probably, the special edition will keep its standard high price for unique accessories. For example, the first goal edition of Apple’s first-generation smartwatch was rated at $10,000.

In addition to this, Prosser has underlined that the upcoming accessories will most likely be released the upcoming year, during the fall. Back when iPhone SE and the latest MacBook were released, the leaker managed to predict the exact dates accordingly.

Other leaks are stating that the upcoming device will probably be priced at $499. The frames will probably be made out of plastic, while the lenses can be adapted to various prescription lenses.  Additionally, the glasses will come equipped with LIDAR sensors. Hopefully, the release date will remain the same, and no delay will be caused by the ongoing pandemic.

In the meantime, Facebook is collaborating with Ray-Ban for its pair of augmented reality glasses.
