A Sequel for Inuyasha is Finally Happening!

For those of you who might not know, Inuyasha was a very popular manga series and anime series, which ran from 1996-2008. A second running happened from 2009 to 2010, which also put an end on Inuyasha’s story. But it seems that there is more to tell in the story because there will be a sequel.

The project is called Hanyo, no Yashahime, and it shows the children of our favorite characters. However, we have seen something interesting: Inuyasha and his brother Sesshomaru appear in the background, which means that maybe we will get to see these characters again.

It will be an anime sequel, and it will surely catch everyone’s attention. The English title is Yashahime: Princess Half-Demon. We will see the daughters of Sesshomaru and Inuyasha in brand new adventures.

Here is what we’ve heard about the plot:

“In Feudal Japan, Half-Demon twins Towa and Setsuna are separated from each other during a forest fire. While desperately searching for her younger sister, Towa wanders into a mysterious tunnel that sends her into present-day Japan, where she is found and raised by Kagome Higurashi’s brother, Sota, and his family.”

Apparently, ten years later, the tunnel which connects the two eras suddenly reopened, which allowed Towa to reunite with Setsuna, who is a Demon Slayer. It seems that  Setsuna does not remember anything about his older sister.

The daughter of Inuyasha and Kagome, together with Moroha, will travel between the two eras in searching for their missing past.

Right now, there are no details about when Yashahime: Princess Half-Demon will start production or even be released, but we cannot wait to see what will happen.
